PlaceShapers launches new Neighbourhoods and Place Network
12 May 2026

Our members are at the forefront of shaping places that people are proud to call home. This new network creates a space for those leading that work to connect, learn, and influence together.
PlaceShapers has launched its new Neighbourhoods and Place Network, bringing together senior leaders from across the member organisations to collaborate on place-shaping.
The new network creates a dedicated space for those with strategic responsibility for place—including Executive Directors, and Directors of neighbourhoods, communities, regeneration, and place-based partnerships—to connect and share insight through open member-led discussions.
Meeting quarterly online, sessions will feature external and member speakers, with a focus on sharing challenges and solutions and creating transferrable learning that can be applied across different places and regions.
The network will also help shape the agenda, work and voice of PlaceShapers over the coming years.
The launch marks a continued expansion of PlaceShapers’ offer to its members, bringing the total number of member networks to six.
Marc Rostock, Director of Neighbourhoods at North Devon Homes, said: “This is a valuable opportunity to both contribute to and benefit from conversations that can influence and improve the community landlord offer.
“As anchor institutions we have both an opportunity and a responsibility to work to improve neighbourhoods and place. It is great to be part of this initiative, and I look forward to supporting something that helps to disseminate and embed the work of community landlords further.”
PlaceShapers’ Chief Executive Catherine Ryder highlighting the role the network will play in strengthening both practice and influence across the sector.
Catherine said: “Our members are at the forefront of shaping places that people are proud to call home. This new network creates a space for those leading that work to connect, learn, and influence together.
“With this addition, we now have six member networks, each designed to support collaboration and amplify the voice of our members. The insight generated through these networks is vital in informing our policy work and ensuring we are championing the sector with government and partners.”
Insights gathered through the Neighbourhoods and Place Network will directly feed into PlaceShapers’ advocacy and policy development, helping to ensure that the experiences and expertise of members are reflected in national conversations about housing, regeneration, and communities.
The network is now open to all members, with the first session scheduled to take place later this year.
