Our story
“We identified suitable houses within the areas served by the support groups, purchased them and carried out work to rehabilitate the properties to a lettable standard.
“We accessed grant funding from Homes England to carry out the work and acquire the properties, as well as our own cash reserves and recycled capital grant funding.
“We worked with Caritas and the overall support group to sign up the refugees on arrival to their new tenancy and helped them to access benefits.
“We continue to support the tenancies and the families as much as possible. Overall, the scheme, though difficult to make work financially, is very worthwhile and an extremely rewarding experience.”
