Autumn Leaders' Event - Bristol

This will be an opportunity for Chairs and Chief Executives to come together to reflect on the challenges facing our sector, share experiences of place-shaping leadership, and look ahead together. We will discuss the first allocations under the new Social and Affordable Homes Programme and the emphasis on devolution, council housebuilding and local priorities, and collectively explore what it all means for place-shaping.
In discussions led by members we will explore the following themes:
- Leading through change - how our political relationships, government announcements and the trajectory for our communities are impacting on our place-shaping ambitions, and what this all means for you as leaders.
- Influencing the system - how we can ensure stakeholders, including the RSH and Ombudsman, support our place-shaping ambitions and that this is reflected in their approach to working with the sector.
- From strategy to delivery - whether we are organised and behaving in a sufficiently place-based way to take advantage of any opportunities that devolution and the focus on place might bring.
This session is designed to provide challenge, inspiration and food for thought for you to take back to the board room and your executive teams to help you plan and deliver your approach to place-shaping.
