Placeshapers landmarks in 2025
4 December 2025
Thank you to members who shape our impact - here's some of landmarks we achieved together in 2025. We look forward to working with you in 2026.

Ministerial visits
We hosted three ministerial visits, highlighting the transformational work members do and building advocates for the sector in Parliament.

Year of Learning
Focusing on physical and social place-shaping, we delivered study visits, webinars and a new hub so members could learn from the experience of others.

Parliamentary launch
Our new report - Realising the Potential of Housing Associations in Places and Communities - sets out the role housing associations can play in the decade of national renewal.

PlaceShaping In Action
Updates from our in-depth case studies shared key lessons from members on complex long-term projects and showcased what a commitment to place looks like in practice.

New members
We welcomed five new members, bringing greater diversity to our membership and enriching the network with the broadest spectrum of experience.

Annual conference
More than 300 members attended 14 sessions and came away with ideas, insight and inspiration from members, residents and experts.

Engagement
We built new and strengthened existing relationships to give members a voice with those who matter, including the RSH, the Fabian Society, and ministers.

New resources
Our new Sustainability Library and Learning Hub offer practical member resources, such as the Greatwell Homes new place-shaping toolkit on measuring impact.

Member visits
We visited 14 members to understand their place-shaping ambitions and challenges so others can benefit from their experience.

National campaigning
We are committed partners in JRF and the Trussell Trust’s Guarantee Our Essentials campaign, which was influential in bringing an end to the two-child benefit cap.

Regeneration
We actively campaigned for support for regeneration, including through a new partnership with Inside Housing, which helped secure the flexibility for regeneration in the new Social and Affordable Homes Programme.

Media
We were a prominent voice in the media, telling positive stories, highlighting the impact of place-shaping and building support for members.
