Objective 1
Communicate the unique role of place-based housing associations to ensure the sector is understood and valued by politicians and stakeholders.

By influencing the Spending Review and the development of the Affordable Homes Programme, including sharing the positive stories that show the impact of the sector’s place-shaping work and how our members could do more with the right support.
Ensure an ambitious approach to housing-led regeneration is part of government plans.

By setting out a compelling case for funding and support, including case-studies that speak directly to the government’s ambitions on growth and a decade of national renewal.
Ensure our members are at heart of the devolution debate, both nationally and locally.

By producing a robust evidence-led report on the strengths of a place-based approach to housing and influencing the direction of travel on devolution through the White Paper and other opportunities.

Connect with our members and facilitate access to support to help them address the challenges they face in delivering their place-shaping role.
Ensure the environment our members work in is as positive as possible and their unique challenges are understood.

By continuing to harness our relationship with senior stakeholders, including the Ombudsman, Homes England and the Regulator of Social Housing to support members in their work.
Support our members to collaborate at a local level, including through housing partnerships.

By sharing practical examples of success from across the sector, and providing opportunities for members to discuss, debate and ask questions to learn from each other.
Enable our members to connect with each other on the issues that matter the most to them in their place-shaping role.

By setting up a second series of Leaders Events for chairs and chief executives, running our networks, and through our two-day online Annual Conference.

Collaborate with members and the wider sector to give residents a voice that is heard by housing associations and government.
Bring residents' voices to influence the government’s 2025 review of Universal Credit the wider response to poverty and the cost-of-living.

By continuing to work with the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and Trussell Trust to bring member and resident voices and experience to their national campaigning and supporting resident voices in the media and national and local debate wherever possible.
Support residents to tell their own stories about the impact of social housing and place-shaping.

By building our network of resident allies and inviting residents to contribute to projects, events, conferences and webinars wherever possible.
