The truly awful case of Awaab Ishak's death has shown the terrible consequences when damp and mould is not dealt with properly. The coroner's report has highlighted a number of failings from the housing association and it is our responsibility as a sector to ensure these mistakes do not happen again.
Chaired by PlaceShapers Chair, Matthew Walker, this roundtable is an opportunity for members to share and discuss how they are approaching disrepair. Charlie Norman, CEO of MSV Housing, will provide an update on behalf of Greater Manchester Housing Providers.
Looking ahead, PlaceShapers will work with external agencies to produce advice and information for how landlords can work with tenants to tackle damp and mould.
