Back in 2022, when the whole country was shocked by the death of Awaab Ishak, we asked members what we could do as a network to support your organisation’s work to ensure your response to damp and mould was robust and resident-focused.
While you were individually taking action to identify and resolve issues, you asked PlaceShapers to create shared communications resources.
The result is the Healthy Homes toolkit which can be adapted to your own organisation.
We partnered with Energy Saving Trust to ensure the information is independent and clear and with residents to ensure the materials are accessible and easy to understand. We also used the communication findings of the Ombudsman’s special investigation into damp and mould to ensure the materials take account of the recommendations.
