Meet the Regulator

Friday 8 September, 11am-3pm
Cornerstone House, Western Way, Exeter. EX1 1AL

The Social Housing Regulation Bill has now become an Act, which means it is now law. The Act follows the Social Housing White Paper, and is intended to improve the quality of social housing and ensure social housing landlords are held to account for the homes and services they provide.

The Regulator of Social Housing will be responsible for implementing a number of the measures set out in the Act, including some changes to how housing associations and councils who provide social housing will be regulated.

The Regulator is now consulting on the new consumer standards, which are the standards social housing landlords must meet so tenants live in safe, quality homes, have choice and protection, and can hold landlords to account.

This event will give you the chance to hear about these proposed standards directly from the Regulator and ask any questions you have about these proposals. You will also get the chance to discuss the proposals with other social housing residents and consider how you want your landlord to reflect your view in their response.

Residents of PlaceShapers and non PlaceShapers members welcome.
