PlaceShapers response to HCA discussion paper on charging fees for regulation

We agree in principle that there is a case to charge fees for regulation but only on the basis that this is not a substitute for government funding, that additional resources are used to further enhance the quality of regulatory services and that fees are introduced within the context of a clear contract setting out what the sector can expect in return.
