October home builder
New homes add to 32,000 in development
Bracknell Forest Homes is building more homes – 600 in the pipeline - to help meet the rising need for affordable housing in its area.
In 2016 it raised an extra £35 million through a private investment deal to strengthen its development plans.
In the last year Bracknell has been working on the first phase of a development of 116 new homes – apartments and houses for rent and shared ownership – at the former Queen Elizabeth II Barracks in Church Crookham, Fleet.
This adds to the 80 homes actually completed in the year. One of the newest is Rothwell Place in Crowthorne, built by smaller builder RJ Leighfield, delivering nine family homes for shared ownership and rent.
These developments from Bracknell Forest Homes form part of the 32,000 new homes currently being built by PlaceShapers.
Bracknell Forest Homes’ strong financial position has been recognised by the fact that it has maintained its top G1/V1 rating for governance and financial viability from its regulator, the Homes and Communities Agency. It also holds an A+ credit rating, based on our strong profile, prudent strategy and development plan.
Shellie Martin (pictured on the right with her son), who has just moved into her new home in Fleet, said: “This is the first time I’ve lived in a Bracknell Forest Homes property. Everyone has been really helpful which has made us settle in really quickly. This finish to the property itself is lovely as well.”
