Glad you clicked through but you’ll need to come back on Wednesday 29 June to find out about We Work. Trust us, there’s going to be some amazing stories showing how PlaceShapers up and down the country change people’s lives...
We're building 87 new canalside homes, just minutes from West Drayton station.
The site will mark the regeneration of the final piece of undeveloped land near the station on the new Elizabeth Line (Crossrail), which will open in December.
The area’s regeneration was kickstarted by SBHG’s nearby development of a rundown nightclub into Art Wood Apartments – 18 homes for rent, named after Ronnie Wood's brother (and local resident) Art Wood, who designed Rolling Stones album covers.
SBHG’s Finance and Development Director Mohit Jain said: “West Drayton is a popular place with plenty to do locally in an historic canalside setting. When the Elizabeth Line opens, the area will have world-class transport links to the jobs and opportunities of central London and Canary Wharf.
“We have been building affordable homes in west London for 50 years and this development is part of our commitment to continue to build affordable homes. These homes will allow people to live affordably in West Drayton, where renting or by getting a foot on the housing ladder shared ownership.”
Work on new homes will start in June. The development off Horton Road will be 22 homes for rent and 65 homes for shared ownership.
