New ‘friend’ of West Kent YMCA
Town & Country officially became a ‘Friend of West Kent YMCA’ at the launch of the charity’s supporters group. The Friends of West Kent YMCA has been launched to encourage individuals and organisations willing to promote its work and support its clients in any way they feel able.
Chief Executive Rob Marsh thanked Town & Country for supporting the charity on a number of projects including providing apprenticeships for young people, which was showcased at the launch.
Town & Country, the YMCA and the Domestic Abuse Volunteers Support Service (DAVSS) are jointly providing an apprenticeship in fund raising for Roisin Herbert Howard. Roisin and Jackie Sumner, Town & Country’s Head of Communities, are pictured here with Rob Marsh and the other apprentices. Roisin is based with the Town & Country Foundation two days a week when she works on Foundation projects and supports our community organisations.
Town & Country has close links with West Kent YMCA on a number of other initiatives including social enterprises, furniture recycling and reuse, Counselling First and the Two Worlds projects. Countrywise Repairs, Town & Country’s jointly owned repairs contractor, has also signed up as a Friend of West Kent YMCA.
