South Lakes Housing has set up a Cost Sharing Group with Two Castles Housing Association called Cumbria Housing & Property Services (CHAPS). The Cost Sharing Group includes SLH's in-house contractor as a Cost Sharing Vehicle for Repairs & Maintenance. The group is open to discussions with new members interested in sharing costs and services across Cumbria and North Lancs.

SLH targets a social return on investment in its operations, development and regeneration programmes. In 2016/17 this includes; the regeneration of an estate in Kendal town centre, financial inclusion advice and a range of community involvement projects in partnership with organisations such as South Lakeland Carers, local hospices and leisure centres.
