Milton Keynes-based affordable housing provider, Grand Union Housing Group, along with over 200 organisations across the UK, has signed an open letter to the Prime Minister, calling on the Government to publicly commit to a new Opportunity Guarantee.

Grand Union Housing Group has agreed funding deals worth £237m, which will enable the affordable housing provider to push ahead with plans to build more homes, despite the current uncertainty in the economy.


Grand Union Housing Group has played its part in getting around 4,500 food boxes to people in need in South Northamptonshire since the start of April.

Grand Union Housing Group is a leading provider of affordable housing and related services in Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire, owning and managing almost 12,000 properties. The Group is ideally placed to create and sustain neighbourhoods across Milton Keynes and the Oxford Cambridge arc growth area.

Grand Union Housing Group (GUHG) also helps people to enter the housing market through shared ownership and other home ownership initiatives. The Group currently has three subsidiary organisations: Aragon Housing Association, which is one of the largest affordable housing providers in Bedfordshire and provides specialist accommodation and support to people with learning disabilities; Rockingham Forest Housing, which owns and manages stock across six local authority districts; East Northamptonshire, Wellingborough, Kettering, Daventry, Northampton and Corby; and South Northants Homes, which owns and manages over 3,000 affordable homes in the region.
