Employability Day event at Ongo
Ongo is celebrating national Employability Day by hosting an event to help local people get into work.
Employability Day is an opportunity for organisations such as Ongo to showcase the opportunities they have to help people get into work. It is also a chance to celebrate successes over the last 12 months of helping individuals become work ready, secure their next step in their career and highlight all of the support available.
An event hosted at Ongo’s Cole Street office in Scunthorpe will take place on 24 June from 10am until 2pm and everyone is welcome.
On the day there will be a variety of local employers as part of a ‘meet the employer’ session where people can find out what vacancies are available, and even sign up and secure employment there and then.
Just some of the employers attending are:
- British Steel
With many more to be announced.
Regina Dalmeida, Enterprise Manager at Ongo, said: “This is going to be a fantastic event, with so many opportunities for people either looking for work, looking for employment support or those wanting to find out more about what we do.
“Having local employers at the event means people could potentially walk away with a new job after visiting us. We can’t wait to see as many people there as possible.”
There will also be colleagues from Ongo on hand to talk about the different services they have to help people become work ready, and for those looking to take the next step in their career. There will also be information about traineeships, volunteering opportunities and training available.
Local band, Oppulence will be providing the entertainment for the day, goodie bags will be given to everyone that comes along and there will be refreshments on offer too.
This isn’t an event to be missed, book your place today by visiting https://www.ongo.co.uk/employabilityday
