Refugees housed: 2 Syrian families
Providing support: Since 2022

Our story
“An individual had seen the crisis on the news and wanted to do something. They contacted our CEO and asked if we they could help if they provided money for housing.

“Once everything had been agreed, we were able to start sourcing the two 3 bedroomed homes. After liaising with Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, they put us in contact with the International Care Network (ICN) who asked if the homes could help families from the Syrian Resettlement Scheme.

“ICN enables refugees and asylum seekers to integrate and settle in the UK by providing them with the skills, support and advice they need when they are confused and vulnerable. It provides the support, and our tenancy officer does the intensive housing management, which includes building checks (health & safety and fire compliance) and organises building maintenance."
