24housing interview

Do the numbers and targets of housebuilding mean we are losing communities and places people want to live? Sinéad Butters, chair of PlaceShapers, spoke to 24housing’s Mark Lawrence to set the record straight.

In a wide ranging interview she says: "If you show the Government you are someone credible, listen, try and make things work, shout when they don't work and stick to our philosophy then we will have an influence on policy in the long term."

She concludes: "If you lose the PlaceShaping angle in the supply discussion then we will be building homes without a sustainable future."
